Mr.Horst Schaffner has been involved in the Hospitality Industry for many years. This is a family run business with individual attention being given to the residents as a prime focus of their endeavors to create "A Home Away from Home".

The staff at Kingsway Gardens include personnel with university training in Hospitality Management as well as Business Administration. Trained kitchen staff also have their diplomas and certificate of accreditation. Domestic staff, maintenance staff & reception personnel have been trained through In-house workshops and training sessions. Staff on duty are trained in First Aid/CPR. With Hants Community Hospital only two minutes away, paramedic personnel and ambulance services are able to respond quickly to any medical emergencies.

Enriched Retirement Housing is a part of the Long Term Care industry. With the ever-growing challenges and changes that are occurring in Long Term Care, the staff of Kingsway Gardens receive In-house training and workshops on a regular basis from trained staff and consultants in the gerontology industry.

The idea of Enriched Retirement Housing is for the resident to be able to enjoy as much as possible their independence. However, there comes a point in time when minimal assistance is required to enjoy this phase in life. It is our aim at Kingsway Gardens for residents to have as much independence as possible but with the added comforts that Enriched Housing provides.
